Environmental Responsibility is the principle guiding us during all those years.
JF Fibras contributes with processing 2.500 tons of shredded textile per month, which would be disposed in the environment. Besides helping the environment it also helps with the waste sorting activities.
The ongoing commitment of our partners is to have an ethical behavior and to contribute to the economic development while improving the quality of life of our employees, their families, local community and the whole society.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
The environmental impact caused by the Fashion Industry, specially the space needed for waste in landfills and the improper disposal – which may cause soil and water pollution – can take years or even decades to be absorbed by Nature, besides contributing to the lack non-renewable natural resources.
Synthetic and artificial textile waste take longer to decompose. Synthetic fibers like polyamide can take approximately 30 years to decompose, while polyester can take more than 100 years.
